Soggy Bunny

It was a spooky, rainy night....sounds like a storybook Halloween night, huh!?  We invited a cowgirl and her cow and a stinky skunk over for Halloween chili and cornbread.  After filling up on somewhat healthy food, we set out in search of candy bars and suckers!

Fall Festival at School

Keaton's school had a Fall Festival on Friday afternoon.  It was so much fun to have mommies and daddies at school.  The teachers did a super job of making it a fun, special day.  Everyone had tons of fun...games, cookie decorating, cake walk, and Keaton's favorite...sliding on the big kid slide.

Keaton was a fancy bunny this year complete with a tutu and bows on her ears.  There were lots of princesses, some pirates, puppies, skeletons, and lots more.

Cooperation Does Not Trend the Same as Age

So age goes one way....up.  Cooperation, however, does not trend the same way.  I guess I was naive enough to think these monthly pics with Bunny would be a piece of cake.  Not so much.

She's happy most of the time as you see directly below.  Puzzles are super fun right now especially if you get to do them naked.

The Naked Puzzler

climbing when your mom told you not to is even more fun!

enjoying a book while sitting on the potty is also very fun

posing for just one Bunny pic is NOT fun

Having to try for the pic another day is REALLY NOT fun
so this is the best that we have to record month 22. I'd say it is accurate.

We enjoy evening strolls with our buddies Jen and Maddie.  We are not going to be able to walk much longer because of the time change coming up this weekend.  Tonight we rode trucks and bikes and this shot was too cute not to share.

If You're Wondering....

If you're wondering where the 22 month bunny picture might be....there's been little cooperation from you-know-who for the past several mornings.  The Bunny sits there nicely, but there's a little girl who says "no sit" over and over and over.  Perhaps we will try an evening photo session with some success tonight.

Terrific Turkeys

Papa and Keaton turned some pumpkins into turkeys this week!  There were lots of shinanigans while Rob and I vacationed in Mexico for a few days.  Keaton stayed with B and Papa and obviously had fun!  More pics soon!

Stepping Stones and Picture Day

Keaton has admired the kid-made stepping stones at her school for months so it was finally time to make our own "pretty."  She loved poking the rocks down into the cement.  It isn't the easiest craft to do with a not-yet-two-year-old, but we both survived.

Picture day at school doesn't always work out for the toddler set.  Keaton was all dressed up in her village frock, blue tights and new brown shoes, but she was "all done" by the time her turn came around.  Good thing I snapped a few before school!  B made this dress and found the tights to match!

Pumpkin Patch Regulars

Yep, we went back....back to the pumpkin patch. We had so much fun with grandparents last weekend that we decided to take Jen and Maddie with us this weekend. It was muddy, but that means more fun for toddlers and strategic "hold you" moves by mamas.

Ewe and Lou at the Zoo

On Sunday we headed over to the Knoxville Zoo just because.  The weather was cool and the animals were just waking up when we arrived.  First stop was the petting zoo and Keaton loved talking to the sheep, goats and a cow named Jack.  She said "hiiii" to every creature.

And then we fell in love with Lou the Chimp.  The zookeeper said he used to be a pet so he enjoying interacting with people at the window.  We sat and played with Lou for quite a while, but I think Keaton prefers goats and sheep to Lou.  Rob and Lou, however, are BFFs.

Pumpkin Patch

This morning we headed to Maple Lane Farms with Nana and Pap Pap.  B also met us there.  We looked at lots of "punnnkins" and even took a hay ride.  Keaton enjoyed every minute of it!
